Dave and Joan returned home to Maine around 8:30 yesterday evening. Thanks so much for praying for them while they ministered in Ukraine! We will update you when they have another trip planned.

We are packing and preparing for our 3 am departure from our hosts (John and Jane) to Kiev International Airport. At 5:34 we depart from Kiev to Frankfurt,GR. We have a 5 hour layover in Frankfurt Main (should be time for a cup of good German coffee) before our flight to Boston and a 2 hr bus ride to Portland. This trip has been blessed by our lord and our God. I gave 80 hours of lectures over 4 weeks to 39 students, preached at the International church 3 times, once at Bortnichi and once last evening at a new church not far from here. One of my students was so impacted by the lectures on pastoral ministry, that he and his buddies said in class…”this course changed their lives.” Then he invited me to speak to his youth ministry at the church where he is the youth pastor. After Q&A and some counseling principles, I asked the two questions: First, If you died tonight, where would you go…Heaven or Hell. They all said Heaven. Second question: Just suppose when you got to the entrance of heaven, Jesus Christ, the living God met you and asked you, “What reason can you give me that I should let you into my heaven? What would you say? Then I told them that there is only one answer he will accept…John 3:16..I believed and you said that you would forgive me forever, change my life and let me into your heaven. Then I asked those who wanted to say this prayer. Dear Heavenly Father; I agree with your estimate of my life…I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus died on the cross to forgive my sins. I confess you as Lord of my life. Thank you for dying in my place. Please forgive and save me now. There were 25 or more present. 5 or 6 young men and women said the prayer and indicated so by raising their hands. WOW, thank you Jesus!!!
